Same Sex Couples, Commitment Ceremonies

The Reform Jewish Movement has long been committed to same sex couples Jews along with their families into our congregations, synagogues and communal life…

Holiness can be present in two Jews regardless of sexual orientation, and that such couples could form foundations for stable Jewish families. Recently, the Conservative Movement approved same sex unions.

There is growing evidence to support the idea that same sex couples can have Kiddushah and that they can form a strong, Jewish family.
