Spiritual Ceremonies

Today there are more and more people who are beginning to go with a spiritual ceremony mixed into civil weddings, especially between couples who are not extremely religious. Civil weddings also provide a whole lot of flexibility as well and the only requirements that couples have to follow with these weddings are the marriage laws of the state.

However, more and more couples are choosing to not only have civil weddings, but to go with Rabbis or other religious leaders for these weddings as well. Having a Rabbi could offer the ‘spirituality’ into a humdrum civil wedding ceremony. So, let's take a look at some of the great options couples have when they choose to have a civil, non-religious ceremony for their wedding.

Processional Wedding Music Selections for Jewish Wedding Ceremonies

Processional wedding music accompanies the bride as it is known in Jewish tradition for the bride is a queen, and the groom a king. When a Queen enters, music accompanies her and it sets the tone for this romantic, joyous celebration, a marriage. As little girls dreamed of this big day, those little girls now brides live their dream when walking down the aisle to meet their groom and who accompanies her to the Chuppah.

Music connects Jewish life both in the synagogue and home. In the synagogue we learn prayers in song. Our children in Jewish nursery school learn songs when playing games; a musical tune with the Hebrew alphabet and many others. Our tweens and teenagers learn contemporary Jewish music in Youth Group. In the home we recite or chant blessings with a tune that when we hear it without words we know what holiday that blessing is for. We sing joyous music around our holiday tables and at times when we are sad, there is music to bring us comfort as well.

Brides, Grooms - hear the beautiful selections that you may just enjoy for your Jewish Wedding Ceremony processional to the Chuppah

Breaking Glass for the Jewish Wedding Ceremony

Every Jewish Wedding Ceremony, traditional, not so traditional, interfaith needs a breaking glass for the groom to break with his foot at the conclusion of the Jewish ceremony.

Breaking Glass offers two meanings...

* It reminds us of the destruction of the Holy Temple.
* The breaking of the glass also is a warning of the frailty of a marriage.

After many requests, "where can I purchase the breaking glass for my ceremony?". As I proceeded to do online research for reputable Judaica retailers, I too had difficulty and could now understand. With that research I came upon a reputable online retailer that offered various styles and colors including from well known Jewish artists.

For those names missing from above - forgive me.

Why have I created such a list. Well, they are Jewish - either having both parents Jewish or one.

Again, why did I list them? Tzedakah - it is a fundamental part of the Jewish way of life.

It is not $$$ I seek. I seek a Sefer Torah. Actually, a traveling Sefer Torah. I prepare children and adults for their Bar Mitzvah, Bat Mitzvah, when they turn 83 and for wedding couples seeking an Auf Ruf blessing before their wedding day during a Shabbat worship service. I need a Sefer Torah to do all this.

Sefer Torahs are thousands of dollars. I cannot provide the funds to purchase a small traveling Sefer Torah.

Our Society includes the focus of celebrities and their lives in print (Page 6 and magazines), Entertainment TV based shows, and of course the internet.

So, I list the names of our Jewish celebrities who have entertained us or provided us with services that have become part of our daily lives either on television, in print or on the internet.

It is perfectly okay for a Rabbi to ask for assistant. It is Jewishly to ask for Tzedakah - it is a fundamental part of the Jewish way of life.

You can find Rabbi Andrea Frank on her web site The Jewish Wedding Rabbi

If you are a celebrity and in the limelight of your family, friends, colleagues and you choose Tzedakah with your connections - able to acquire a traveling Sefer Torah for Rabbi Frank - please do not hesitate to contact! You are important to the community as well.

Blessings to all who assist Rabbi Frank so she can assist adults seeking blessings and the children, our future generations, to become a Bar Mitzvah or Bat Mitzvah.
